The answer is Young Voters, ages 18-29: See: The 2020 election shows Gen Z’s voting power for years to come. Young voters vote 65-70% for Democrats. See the chart below. Their turnout rate, though rising, is the lowest of any age group. In 2020, a record 52.5% of young voters turned out — nine points higher than in 2016. Yet older groups still had substantially higher turnout. Let’s change that!
If young voters turn out at 2020 levels, we have an excellent chance to take the midterms.
